It’s been a few years since I started this blog (and it’s been moved around a few hosts as well) as a way to find my place on the net. I have tried joining a couple forums (Geek & Sundry and recently the Geek Girl Pen Pals) as well as writing articles for a nerd news site (Word Of The Nerd) and I’m still trying to sort out my place.

It’s a hard thing, when you had a consistent group of people you were a part of, and then when that’s gone you need to find somewhere else. The online community feels a lot like highschool in someways, trying to sort out which “clique” you belong to or fit in with the most. You jump from group to group as you grow and find your way. And that’s what I’m trying to do, still trying to do.

This site has lead me in somewhat of a direction, doing pods and and vlogs as well as blogging. And that’s helped. And also lead me to try to focus more on what I wanna do, which mainly is writing. It’s just trying to find the right place, as well as time to do it. Time seems to be the biggest issue and I struggle to find time to fit in all that I wanna do. How do other people do it?

But I think I am finally finding focus and a path and I hope to have that worked out over the fall and winter and to start off the new year with a better plan going forward.
